dinnerBOX Kids, now there's a thing! dinnerBOX

Kids, they come in all shapes and sizes!

Some won’t eat a thing, and some don’t stop eating!

No matter how hard we try to educate our kids about food, there’s no doubt about it,

it’s hard work.

KidsResearch shows us that there are certain things you can do to educate your child to eat more healthily.

1. Wherever possible try and get the family to sit down at the table and eat together and enjoy your evening meal. Not only is it a time for eating but also for talking.

2. Don’t force your children to eat everything on the plate. If they haven’t tried something before, just a bite might be enough, but don’t then make them a cheese sandwich, offer them other parts of the meal you know they like ie. pototoes. It’s surprising how quickly they will begin to eat as you do.

3. If you know one of your children won’t be home until later, leave them a plate of the same food to heat up.

4. After school, children are often "starving" a sandwich is always more filling than a bag of crisps and a chocolate bar, these just leave a child wanting more.  With older children you can't always be in control of what they buy at school but you can at home, so, wean them off junk foods at home.

Portion Sizes

If you have teenagers then you will need to order as though they are an adult. However, if you have children who eat small portions then 1 adult portion will be enough for two children.

Most children will be interested in the arrival of this new box . They will want to know what’s inside. It will be ‘different’ trying some new meals but it will also be exciting!

So go for it – try something ‘different’.
